Pond Skimmer

A pond skimmer is an important piece of any home water garden. They are an important part of maintaining a healthy pond and are easy to maintain. While they are not necessary, they are highly recommended, especially for larger ponds.

A pond skimmer is usually designed to float on the surface of the water. They are designed to remove most debris before it sinks to the bottom of the pond. Provided that the skimmer is regularly cleaned, they can be of great service to your pond.

A pond skimmer works in conjunction with a water pump. The pump creates a vacuum inside the skimmer, which then pulls water through. As the water passes through the various filtration media, contaminants are removed and clean water returned to the pond.
