Pond Kits

With the popularity of backyard garden ponds ever increasing, many retailers have started to sell complete pond kits. These kits are pre-packaged and usually have everything you need to successfully build your own water garden. Depending on the package, they often have pumps and filters that might require some electrical work to be done.

Before purchasing any pond kits, it is imperative that you know the exact dimensions of your design. Kits are typically sold based on the size of the liner that is sold with the package. Generally, a pond should be about 20-30% smaller than the dimensions of the liner.

Pond kits usually contain the basic items needed for to build a working pond. However, there are many accessories that can be added to a kit that can make it truly unique. Different species of plants and fish, waterfalls, and lighting can all have a dramatic impact on the overall look of your pond.
